We all love mom! But let’s face it, it can be tough to shop for the perfect gift. So, today I have rounded up a few amazing gifts that you can DIY that are sure to impress mom this year and maybe help you move up on her favorite’s list. Ok–maybe I am making promises that are a little extreme, but one thing I do guarantee is that the special lady in your life will absolutely love anything that is given to her, especially when it is handcrafted with love and care.

Footprint/Handprint Love Sign

I absolutely love this sign that team member Carrie created using the hand and footprints of her little ones. Carrie used black ink to stamp the impressions on paper and used her PixScan mat to cut them out. She used  vinyl to cut the L and E and adhered them to a painted wood board. So stinkin’ cute and certainly a sign that mom would be proud to display. Check out the full post and tutorial on Carrie’s blog.

Mama Bear Adhesive Vinyl Mug

The mom life can be a tough one sometimes and caffeine is definitely a must for exhausted mama’s that need a pick-me-up. I created this mug using adhesive vinyl and applied it to a white ceramic mug. To ensure that the vinyl will stay put, be sure to clean the surface of the mug with rubbing alcohol. Once the mug is dry, apply your decal and use a hairdryer help activate the adhesive on the decal. Be sure to hand wash only and this mug is sure to last for many years! Throw a gift card in the mug along with some chocolate or other yummy treats and you have yourself an amazing gift for mom.

Paper Flower Mason Jar Bouquet

Flowers make me so happy! I wish I was able to afford to have fresh flowers delivered to my house weekly. There is just something so therapeutic about flowers: the smell, the vibrant colors, the soft texture. I can go on! But the sad thing about flowers is that they wither and die so quickly. Team member Kelly created a lovely flower bouquet made completely out of card stock paper that is guaranteed  to never wither! Get creative with the flower petals and embellishments and add some ribbon to spruce up the jar. You can also use a clear vase or search your local consignment shops for some vintage jars to add character. The full tutorial is available on Kelly’s website here.

Handmade Card

Cards are wonderful in so many ways. The fabulous Kolette Hall created a step-by-step tutorial on how to make this lovely card for mom. Write a poem or simply just express your love and gratitude for mom and she will cherish this card forever!

I hope you found inspiration amongst these wonderful projects created by some fabulous ladies to create something special for mom this year.
