We all have endlessly busy lives. Errands to run, things to buy, projects to check off. It can definitely be overwhelming if you aren’t organized! Enter beautiful planner stickers. Whether or not you have a dedicated planner or just a plain notebook, you can transform it into an organization station by making some of your very own planner stickers. Never forget to call someone or pick something up from the store again! Making your own stickers is easy as pie and you’ll be organized in no time.
You Will Need:
- Silhouette CAMEO® or Silhouette Portrait®
- Design ID #102688
- Printable white sticker paper
STEP ONE: PREPARE YOUR DESIGN
Open up your planner stickers design file in Silhouette Studio®. Since we are using white sticker paper that is 8.5 in. x 11 in., change your work area down to that size by entering the measurements in the width and height areas in the Design Page menu (denoted by the paper with two arrows icon). Alter the size of your planner stickers by dragging the corner of the image until you are happy with how they look. Center your stickers on the page.
STEP TWO: TURN ON REGISTRATION MARKS
Turn on registration marks. By turning on the registration marks, your machine will know exactly where to cut around your planner stickers. To turn them on, click the paper icon with the four corner brackets that is in the top right of the design toolbar. In the Registration Marks menu, click on “Style” and select your machine name from the drop down menu. This will automatically add the proper marks to your design work area.
STEP THREE: PRINT STICKERS
Insert a piece of Silhouette White Sticker Paper into your printer, hook up your computer, and select “Print” by hitting “File > Print.”
STEP FOUR: LOAD CUTTING MAT
Place your printed sticker paper onto a cutting mat (I like to use the light hold mat to make sure my paper doesn’t get too stuck), and feed the mat into your machine by feeding the edge of it underneath the rollers and then pressing “Load Cutting Mat” on the touchscreen of your machine.
STEP FIVE: CUT STICKERS
Back in the software, head on over to the Cut menu (denoted by a ratchet blade), and select your material as “White Sticker Paper.” The software will then tell you to change your blade to a 2, which you can do by removing the ratchet blade from your machine and using the key hole or included cap to twist the blade until the red line lines up with the number 2. Then hit “Send to Silhouette” and watch your machine cut out your planner stickers with ease!
Once your Silhouette machine is done cutting, simply hit “Unload” and the machine will spit your mat back out. Carefully peel back your sheet of sticker paper et voilà! You have a bunch of pretty planner stickers that were easy to make in a snap.
Now get out there and get organized!
How do you like to keep yourself organized?
