It’s Kalyn here with a new card project to share! Father’s Day is coming up in just a matter of weeks, so I thought it was time to get some ideas cooking. As soon as I saw the Fish Duo cut file, I was immediately inspired to create something for my dad. We had a koi fish pond growing up and these just reminded me of feeding the fish with my dad on warm summer evenings.
I first took my watercolor set and created some simply color washes on watercolor paper. Then I ran the paper strips through my CAMEO and put it on the “heavy cardstock” setting. This cut it out wonderfully. But a quick tip – be sure your cardstock is completely dry before putting it through your machine.
I finished off the card with some paint splatter and a stamped sentiment. It’s a super easy card, but if you wanted to make it even easier, you could use patterned paper that looks like watercolor instead of creating it yourself.
Happy making!

This is excellent! My dad has a koi fish pond, so now I know what card he’s getting this year!
