Every celebration, whether a holiday or birthday, always includes delicious treats. So why not kick up the fun and cute factor and dress them up? In this post, I have gathered five adorable and unique Silhouette projects using different materials and techniques. Take a look at the fun ways to make your sweet goodies eye-catching and one-of-a-kind!
1. Say “I Do” with a Wedding Cake Topper
Let’s face it, weddings can get really expensive really fast. This simple project is not only a great way to save some moola but is also a crafty way to aesthetically personalize the big day! Silhouette has all the materials you need to create a durable cake topper, from using the Silhouette chipboard as the backing to using printable adhesive kraft paper that easily sticks to the chipboard. Does your wedding have a unique wedding catchphrase or hashtag? Use it as the words for the cake topper! Follow the steps here to make your own cake topper. The possibilities are endless!
2. Custom Stamped Candy Stickers
Confession: this super cute project by Brittany Sazonoff caught my eye because it featured Halloween candy, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. But this craft can easily be used for any holiday or celebration! How about using icons like the USA flag, stars, and fireworks for that patriotic summer BBQ you are hosting next month? For those with the Silhouette Mint™, you have got to try this project because it is so simple and takes your candy presentation to the next level.
3. Piñata Treat Holders
My fellow Design Team friend Nicole Winslow is a crafting goddess full of fun ideas and projects like this one. Maybe it’s the nerd in me, but I love when functionality and fun can go together! These piñata treat holders are perfect décor for any summertime party and a great way to display yummy treats. And it could also be a fabulous way to hide your secret stash of chocolates from others in your home. Shhh… don’t tell anyone that that’s what I’m going to do with my treat holder.
4. Circus Animal Cupcake Wrappers
Cupcake wrappers have evolved over the years from a simple band to intricate cutouts, both of which beautifully dress up cupcakes. Hooray to no longer looking at greasy baking cups! But how about trying something different? I love to think outside of the box, and this project is a perfect example of that. Behold, friends: an inverted cupcake wrapper that looks like a circus podium! Follow the steps on my blog to see how these wrappers will surely make your circus-themed party or baby shower one-of-a-kind!
5. Soda Bottle Treat
Oh my, how cute is this project by Kelly Wayment?! Click here to see how this veteran Silhouette Design Team Member created this sweet masterpiece with adhesive vinyl. The Silhouette Design Store is full of decorative designs like this one, so you’re bound to find one that works for your occasion. Putting treats like jellybeans in a soda bottle is a terrific way to keep the goodies contained and can also be given as party favors (think: kids’ birthday parties). Your party guests will want to go home with one of these unique creations!
Ok folks, time to wipe the drool off your face now that you’ve seen so many tasty treats and get crafting! With a slew of holidays and summer around the corner, how will you dress up your delicious goodies at your next party?

You can use it with vinyl as long as it is smooth and flat to allow the static charge to hold on to it. Rolled vinyl that wants to go back to its rolled shape will not necessarily work well, and it would need to be trimmed to fit the ES mat cutting area.

Yes, you can use the heat pen while using the ES mat. 🙂
