Mother’s Day is coming up quickly! The Silhouette Design Store has so many great files that can add the perfect handmade touch to any gift. We’ve gone through all the files in the Mom themed section of the store and picked five of our favorites! Each of these projects were super quick and simple. Take a look!
1. Retro Rainbow Mama
This retro design is perfect for all the “cool moms” in your life! You can find the design here! When we saw this file by Wispy Willow Designs, we knew it needed to go on a comfy hoodie. While you could totally layer the different colors of heat transfer, we opted for the easy route and used printable heat transfer vinyl. Pair this with your favorite jeans and you’re ready to go!
2. Floral Mom Card
Your mom will love this beautiful card! Jennifer Wambach made this file super simple. In fact, this card only took us five minutes to make (shhh, don’t tell our moms)! Make sure to use her favorite color for a personalized touch.
3. Mother and Baby Line Drawing
Line drawing home decor is so popular right now. When we found this mother and baby line drawing by Michele Kae, we fell in love! It would be a great addition to a nursery, or a mother’s night stand. You can download the file here! We cut out the design in black vinyl and added it to a blank canvas. It turned out so beautiful!
4. World’s Greatest Mom Badges
We wish we could make these and gift one to every mom in the world! We cut all of the shapes out of paper and then added the words in black vinyl. This design was created by Amanda McGee and you can find it here! You could use this as an awesome gift tag, or add a pin to the back and have your mom wear it. We stuck with a monochromatic theme for each badge, but you can pick whatever colors you want, and even mix & match!
5. Mom with Flowers
We really love this design. This file was created by Little Luxuries Loft and you can download it here! We added it to a baby blue sweatshirt with some printable heat transfer vinyl sheets. We also think it would be a great Print & Cut card project or gift tag! There are so many possibilities with this design.

You can use it with vinyl as long as it is smooth and flat to allow the static charge to hold on to it. Rolled vinyl that wants to go back to its rolled shape will not necessarily work well, and it would need to be trimmed to fit the ES mat cutting area.

Once you’ve pushed the mat up against the rollers, just press the “Load” arrow button (bottom right on the display). Does a regular sticky mat load into the machine for you?

Hello! I just got my new electrostatic mat and have watched every video i can find on it. However, what i can t find is why it wont feed into my cameo 5/ it slides right up the rollers but wont go any further. and yes- iam pushing the into button. help!
