The days have gotten longer and the temperature is getting hot, and we’re spending our summer vacation learning how to make new and awesome projects during Silhouette’s Zoom classes! Our online sessions are a great opportunity to find inspiration for new projects and learn techniques to use with your Silhouette machine. Read on to learn about the classes being offered in July and register to attend. And if you miss a class, don’t worry—we’ll update this post with YouTube links to the class recordings.

July 13: Intro to Silhouette

If you’re new to the Silhouette community, the amount of information out there to learn about your machine can be intimidating! Luckily, Kelly Wayment will be teaching another session of our Intro to Silhouette course, where you’ll learn the basics on how to use Silhouette machines and software.

July 21: Flower Notebook

Alexis Middleton will be teaching a class on how to make these custom flower notebooks! We adore how the simple design can be used with countless color and pattern combinations to create a truly unique look! Plus, the scalloped edges and inner pocket are perfect for storing extra notes & supplies.

July 28: 3D Gift Toppers

We love making 3D papercrafting projects! There’s something almost magical about cutting shapes out of a piece of paper and turning them into something with dimension. If you haven’t tried any 3D projects before, Jen Gallacher’s class on 3D gift toppers is a great way to give it a go!

You can use it with vinyl as long as it is smooth and flat to allow the static charge to hold on to it. Rolled vinyl that wants to go back to its rolled shape will not necessarily work well, and it would need to be trimmed to fit the ES mat cutting area.

Yes, you can use the heat pen while using the ES mat. 🙂

Once you’ve pushed the mat up against the rollers, just press the “Load” arrow button (bottom right on the display). Does a regular sticky mat load into the machine for you?
