The fall colors that make this project pop comes from the sketched stem detailing.  The leaves are all made out of neutral colored paper, so the variety of color options in the Sketch Pen Starter Kit were perfect for this project

Because it’s still technically fall, right?

(But seriously. Can we talk about how fast this year has gone? Next time I talk to you, the city will be covered in snow and I’ll be burrowed under blankets for eternity.)

BUT, for now, we’ll focus on stuffing the turkey, stuffing our faces, and crafting through the holidays to keep ourselves sane.

Have You Ever Played With Silhouette Sketch Pens?

I forget how much I love them until I use them again—and now I want to use them for everything.

I know I say these machines are magic all. the. time. But guys, it’s true. Click a sketch pen into the Silhouette Curio™ carriage, watch Curio do it’s thing, and then try to tell me you don’t see stardust.

Using Sketch Pens With Curio Doubles The Fun

One of the underestimated features of the Silhouette Curio™ is it’s dual-carriage. With it, you can set your leaves to be sketched, followed immediately by them being cut without the need of swapping tools or pausing the process.

For a look at using Curio’s dual carriage, check out this video here.

Customize Your Project

There’s a multitude of leaf designs in the Silhouette Design Store, so there are plenty of opportunities to take this project and make it your own. I’m pondering a snowflake version next. I mean, after all… holiday decorating is only a hop skip and a tiny, little elf-jump away.

Happy crafting and a happy start to your holidays!
