The 3mm Kraft Blade for Cameo 4 is a new specialty tool available to use with the Silhouette Cameo® 4. It provides an alternate method of cutting by slicing through craft materials like craft foam, burlap, leather, and acetate. The 3mm depth this Kraft Blade has is designed specifically to take advantage of the increased clearance the Cameo 4 has to cut even thicker materials.
The 3mm Kraft Blade for Cameo 4 can be used in carriage 2 of the Cameo 4 only. This carriage has increased power to allow for more heavy-duty cuts.
For a stronger hold and a more accurate cut for some materials, Silhouette recommends that you use a stronger hold cutting mat or a really sticky mat if possible.
The 3mm Kraft Blade for Cameo 4 will be available November 2019.

Will this machine cut through basswood? if so, how thick?

No material can be thicker than 3 mm to cut with the Kraft blade in the Cameo 4. I’m not sure basswood has been specifically tested.
